Bhutan is recognized as one of the 10 bio-diversity hot spots in the world, harboring an anticipated 770 species of birds which includes the Plumage, the Himalayan Griffin, the unique high- altitude Wader, the Ibis bill, the spectacular Hornbill, Barbets, Sunbirds, Fulvattas, Yuhinas, and Cuckoos can be a fabulous experience. Black necked cranes in Phobjikha Valley while the Rufous-Necked Hornbill hides out in the lush tropical rain forests of the south.

We currently offer following three different itineraries, and we are in the process of making few more itineraries based on different species of bird identified in different places.

 

 

 

1.    Bhutan Special Bird Watching Tours

Bhutan’s widespread bird directory reflects the kingdom's ample range of ecological surroundings from subtropical to alpine. At present there are around 700 types of birds have been recorded in Bhutan. 

Most commonly known are the Black Neck Cranes, a rare and endanger crane. Often it will be marked with Ospreys and multicolored Avocet. While winter time brings numerous species down to lower elevation, including accentors, rose finches, grosbeaks, snow pigeons and pheasants, the Himalayan monal and the blood pheasant.

2.    Bhutan Birding Tours 

For these 10 days birding tours, we will be able to walk around the birding paradise in Bhutan – this includes places like Zhemgang District where  we will able to distinguish some of the endangered species of birds such as Rufus-necked Hornbill, Beautiful Nuthatch and the rare Ward’s Trogon. You will learn that birding in Bhutan is extraordinary and it is best the South East Asia.

3.    Himalayan Birding Tours of Bhutan

Bhutan’s has recorded around 700 species of birds, of which mostly endangered  ones like Black Neck Cranes, Accentors, Rose finches, Grosbeaks, Snow pigeons and Pheasants, the Himalayan Monal and the Blood pheasant.
