Driving Distance
Most of our journey through Bhutan will be by road and it has 1.5 lanes broad with many bends in many areas, but these shouldn't discourage you. There are two domestic airports. Yongphulla Airport is located in Trashigang in the east and Bathpalathang Airport is located at Jakar in the Bumthang district - both of these airports are currently operational and operated by Drukair.
Soon the domestic Gelephu Airport will go into operation. It is located in the southern central region, close to the Indian border, so our guest can choose to travel by air if you didn’t want to travel by road. However, the cost for domestic flight has to be paid by individual and not include in the daily tariff. There are no trains in Bhutan and there are no public buses available for tourist use.
Four your information, we have a very experience driver who will take care whole journey and we use luxury cars, Hyundai Minibuses or Toyota Coaster coaches depending on group size.
